These new Alpina's are looking sharp. I have owned a B7 in the past and enjoyed it. The wheels were a highlight, but cast and therefore heavy.

Does Alpina still use cast wheels?

I just dislike Alpina's design language. Their styling hasn't evolved in the last couple of decades. They take a modern looking BMW and date it. Those wheels look like they belong in the 1990s. The front bumper does too with its boxy shape edges and chrome accents. And that non M steering wheel is just plain ugly compared with our three spoke M wheel.

Agree, I have never been fond of those old style wheels. But I am curious to try out the torque in the B6 !

At least they can sound bad ass since they don't have the cross bank exhaust manifold.

Agreed. Though, I do tend to find the wheels kind of sinister looking when they are flat black.
