I tried to have mine done on collecting the car - at first they said it was chargeable (fine with me) but that they had to notify the DVLA because the emissions figure changes (again couldn't care less as I seem to recall its already in the highest VED bracket).

They then came back later and said they couldn't do it at all.

Strange as they did the same on my F20 125d without batting an eyelid - I just had to sign a disclaimer saying I understood that fuel consumption would increase.

UK BMW dealers can NOT re-code cars, they just reload the STD stuff again, useless, I have the M6 GC CP, it always starts off in first were in comfort it should have started in 2nd, no joy with them at all, just got on with the jolt on take-off if a bit keen on throttle especially on steep inclines.
