New Owner 2014 m5, here is my deal if it helps anyone
Hi Everyone,
I am SUPER excited about my car and finally knocking something off my so-called bucket list. I picked up a 2014 yesterday, here are the particulars. $112,925 MSRP (EDIT::I have fixed this # twice, sorry about that)) $3K down, covering fees and first month payment. $1165 with CA Sales Tax 36 month, 12K a year. (~ $1070 w/out tax) Selling Price was 98,500 Net Cap was 98,535. I could have gotten the 3K down some, as the dealer had a 925 acquisition fee, plus 109 Doc fees, so someone can probably do even better. Thanks to all of those who posted residuals and money factors here as well. The dealer had me at .00170 to start with, before I got him to .00130.

What was your gross capitalized cost / selling price? Was it $102,520? Why didn't you do 7 Multiple Security Deposits? It would have saved you $3600 (~$100/mo) for a return on additional deposit of $8600 invested over 3 years. |

Cap is 98,500 or right around there.
I didn't do MSD's because I can use that money in another investment where I need a larger influx of cash. Even though this return is great on the MSD, I needed it for another investment also with good returns. Here's almost exact #'s.:: MSRP: 112,925 (had a typo of 119K here) Gross Cap Selling Price: 98,500 Acquistion Fee: 925 (I knew he took $200 here) Net Cap Cost $98,535.74 (I didn't pay all the acq. fee, but almost all in the down). Doc Fee: 109 Total License Fees: 759 Taxes: 80.94 Due at signing (first, fees, and I paid 99% of the Acquistion fee) $3000.00 Monthly Base: 855.02 Finance Charge: 216.18 Taxes: 93.73 Monthly w/tax: $1164.93 Does that help any?

Congrats. Enjoy and be safe out there. Could you please confirm msrp and final selling price? I noticed two different msrps in the thread. Just trying to get a sense of what you were able to negotiate off msrp. Looks like a smoking deal. Well done!

Yes, that was the car at Stevens Creek.
MSRP was 109,925 Selling was 98,500. I am sure there was still some money on the table as I did almost no negotiating. They gave me a price, money factor, and fees list, and I said no, and gave them my own price, money factor and fees list. They pretty much agreed to. (Pretty much as in I wanted a selling price of 97,500, but they agreed to all the other things.)

Yes, I was aware of the credit (this forum absolutely rocks), so I made sure that was applied. Thanks to you guys, I also noticed they had the MF at .00170 and I got them to make it .00130.
I'm still not a big fan of dealers, probably never will be. They were going to try and charge me much more for the car AND jack up the money factor...

I learned my lesson 3 years ago when I got a deal with $200 overpaid monthly... Since then, I have never got any deal above invoice!!!

I took the car out for a drive through the mountain roads today and it was awesome.
I'm still in break-in, so I didn't really get to air it out, but it was still pretty wild. There is so much power, that unless you are in MDM, you are really losing a lot of it with the computer trying to control wheelspin.

What price are they selling it to you at?
@ sticker, with $109 in Doc Fees, $700 in License Fees, and $795 Acquisition Fees, you are looking at: $2445.29 due at signing, $1543.65+$92.62 tax = $1636.29 a month.
