M6 series End of Life when?

Some websites like BMW Germany and BMW UK have removed configurators for the M6 coupe and only convertible and Gran Coupe configurators remain.....

So the question is:
Will there may be new model years for the current gen? Or is BMW preparing the next-gen? Or will BMW ditch the 6 series and go with 8 series (and the M8)?

Also, how much time is left?

F12 6er - 06/18
F06 6GC - 02/19

A March 2017 update said this: •Corrected EOP dates for F12 and F13: moved from 10/18 to 06/18.

But I saw some UK guys couldn't get individual options about 3 months ago and it was literally the last time for them to buy back then. However that is for the RHD market, some LHD markets might be different.

The 8 and M8 will replace the 6 and M6 and sadly the 7 speed DCT will be dropped with all models coming with the 8 speed auto only.

I was one of those people, wanted various individual bits but dealer ordering system would not accept the order unless these items were removed, i also see that there a few used late used cars are appearing for sale, i suspect these have been on order for many months as these were offered to me but they were very expensive.

surprising given the official word is that the M6GC has a good few months left to run from this report

Interesting:
But in any case, will there still be both a 6 series and an 8 series?
