Any other BMW Welt deliveries on Sept 29 2010?

I'm happy to mention that I'll be at the WELT ON 9/29/10 to pickup a new September production E90 M3.

http://www.m3post.com/forums/images/.../happyanim.gif

Anyone else going to be there that day?

Specs: Sedan
Space Gray, 6 Speed, No Sunroof.
Going for the new two tone seats Black/Fox interior. (NCH5)
ZCP (Comp Package)
XCW (cold weather)
ZP2 (Premium 2)
Smartphone Integration
Enhanced Premium Sound

I loved my 2008 E90, but this new one will be a great fresh start with much better financing. I want post LCI car to hold onto... into the next generation.
If they don't make a next-gen M3 Sedan, I may be in this relationship for a good long time.

I've said that before, however.

Cheers!

Hotels during O'Fest?

@ VonSwoopington: Congratulations to you too!

Did you find ANY affordable accommodations for Munich?
The O'FEST is sort of making things complicated...

Oh man finding a hotel was a giant pain.

I was lucky to find a room at Best Western Hotel Erb (Posthalterring 1, 85599 Munchen-Parsdorf) for roughly $200 a night (give or take some with the exchange rate being so bad). It's located 16 miles from the WELT and it has some pretty decent reviews.

Trying to find a combination of an availible room, good hotel, and a decent distance from the Welt is very difficult at this time.

While I haven't done a European Delivery (yet), whenever I'm in Munich I usually stay at the Sofitel Bayerpost. If you don't mind paying a little bit extra, you'll find that it's a great hotel in a fantastic location.

I am picking mine on the 20th. Driving around and dropping my car off in paris. But I'll be back to Munich on the 28th and leaving the 29th. So if you want to give me a lift to the airport that'll be awesome!

I'll be there on Sep 28th to get my E90. We are staying out at the Best Western MUC Airport, which is actually in Erding, for US $130/night.

radsmd, maybe I'll see you there. My E90 is Le Mans Blue with ZCP.

I have an e92 on order and just realized I'll be in London 27-29th. Any chance I can get mine setup for Welt delivery? How long in advance did you setup ED?

Got ED setup (AW over speed cloth with ZCP and MDCT with iPod and Sat radio, nothing more/less) for Oct 1.

Don't really have any details from dealer yet.

Does BMW cover hotel for night before delivery or is it up to me to find space? What do you guys have planned while there?

I only have a couple days, thinking, pickup on 1st in Munich, dinner with friends in Stuttgart that night (about 2 hours away), drive to Nurburg on Sat 2nd for a bunch of laps at the Nordschleife and than home. Do I drop my car in Munich for shipping or elsewhere? Where is the best section of Autobahn to drive?
What else is a must do with such little amount of time?

@ Ring007

Congratulations!

BMW has deals with King's Hotel properties in Munich, however what I am finding is that Okotberfest has city hotels very booked up! My friend in Germany found us something reasonable outside of town using www.booking.com, which put us here:

NH München Dornach Messe und Kongresshotel
Address Einsteinring 20
München-Dornach, 85609
Germany
Phone +49 (0) 89 9400960
Fax +498999345679
E-mail reservations.muenchen.de@nh-hotels.com

BMW does not pay for any of your accommodations. You are on the hook for that throughout your trip.

From the Nurburgring, you will be better off dropping the car in Frankfurt @ the E.H. Harms office, unless you already booked your return flight back out of Munich... Our cars will probably ride together to the USA...

Thank you for the tips I haven't booked my flight yet, so Frankfurt would be much closer.

Sounds like we ordered almost the same thing...Mine is Le Mans Blue over speed cloth, ZCP, MDCT, iPod, Sat radio, split fold rear seat, and nothing else

I'm actually surprised to find somebody else who went with the same options as me.

Great minds.....I actually think very few M's are ordered with minimal options. Most dealers/buyers load them up with everything I think. I wanted it to be as light as possible for track usage. Other than camber plates I don't plan to add many mods to this one (at least for a while)

Getting excited for the trip! We fly Monday evening and my appointment @ BMW Welt is 9:30 on Wednesday Morning. I meet my car @ 10:40 am.

Hoping I have adequate Euro Map data to navigate with iDrive. http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...=European+maps

Tchuss!

This is where I stayed for one night before my delivery day in May.

Location is unbeatable -- < 5 min walk to Welt/Museum/Headquarters, < 5 min walk to Ubahn, < 10 min walk to the Olympic park.

Accomodations were perfectly acceptable, no free wifi was the only downside. They were even able to give me early check-in.

Have fun!
