My 335i injectors were replaced many years ago while under warranty, but as of 9 months ago, I had to get 3 of the 6 replaced at my local mechanic who got the parts from BMW.

Wondering if my car qualifies?

If it is any consolation BMW also doesn't give a shit about Canadian owners.

Between a number of issues those cars have and BMW charging Ferrari prices for repairs it is a ticking financial time-bomb.

is your vehicle an affected model?
did you pay for labor to replace injectors?
did your mechanic pay for BMW parts?

Easy questions ... easy answers..

i can top that

price for 3x injectors at a bmw dealer in Australia : $2100

price online delivered from a reputable supplier : $850

thank God for the internet or these cars would cost a fortune to own and then to rub salt into the wound when you talk to the dealer asking them if they can do any better, they hit you with "unfortunately there isn't much movement on these parts" and take $20 off.

The US guys are extremely fortunate to receive this extended injector warranty. I agree BMW Australia is horrible in this regard...

I also got a letter in the mail and was pleasantly surprised. Injectors are quite expensive so it's good to have the extra coverage. I have a 2010 N54 E92 335.

Is this an N54 thing?
N54, N63 and S63. Basically 2010 model year vehicles that utilize the same injector. This is not new news, the warranty extension came out a while back.

Give your dealer a call and have the service department check your VIN for the applicable warranty extension. This is the only way to know for sure if yours is covered, but it's mainly only 2010 model year vehicles.

do you even need to blow them? just replace them if they're an old index and send the receipt in.

This affects my 2011 335is as well and I'm guessing all cars with -10 and prior injectors including E89.

It is BS that this is a 2010 thing, Mine is a 4/2009 build 335i and I believe 2010 models started on 4/23/2009. So mine is basically a 2010 but I don't think I'm covered, although my injectors are leaking horribly. I'm determined to get it covered by the dealer especially since I reported it before my 100K warranty ran out.

I sold my 09 335 last August but before that I shelled out for 6 new injectors at BMW. Wonder if I qualify? Car had 90k on it. I bought the car CPO and looking at the history it had the injectors replaced by the previous owner as well.

SI B01 02 15 Only covers MY10+. This has been out for a while only covers the tunable yet trouble prone N54.

HAHA so damn true! BMW Australia is a joke when it comes to warranty issues.

There was a sale on at FCPeuro for the index 12 injectors for 900 USD shipped to Australia. A very good price for anyone wanting to get rid of injector problems.

The index 12 injectors are supposedly the greatest revision of the N54 injector BMW has ever released. So anyone who has had index 12 injectors installed will be worry-free when it comes to whether the injectors will shit themselves or not. Don't think BMW will ever release a index 13 injector.
