If you're looking for a group buy, you should keep McKenna in mind as we have plenty of them in our inventory, including a frozen white one.

2013 M5 101k Msrp..36/10k. How does $1299 per month, $3000 drive off sound? Taxes are rolled into the lease. Drive off is First month, Bank fee and DMV. $650 or so makes up the rest of the$3000 drive off. I have no idea where that goes....

OK deal? Good deal or Great deal?

Good deal. The best offer I received was for a $104k msrp, $3500 drive off and $1199 month plus tax 36/10k. I turned it down because I wasn't looking for MCB. Plus I would have to pay for shipping from Nebraska ($650)

That Nebraska M5 was a great deal. He had it on ebay. Too bad it wasn't a white.

CORRECTION: the dealer made a mistake. They need to honor their ad and the price is $87k from $102k MSRP, which I believe equates to $8,500 BELOW invoice! SCORE!!

You pay more because we only pay taxes on the terms monthly payments (24, 26, 48, etc) while you pay tax on the full price of the car. If I did a 36 month lease and our figures were the same (residual, money factor, purchase price, term, license, etc) I would only pay taxes on each monthly payment while you would either pay the taxes of the full purchase price up front elevating your net cap cost or roll them into the payment.

if we both paid 90k and taxes are 10% you would pay 9k... I would pay 10% on the payments of the term but not of the entire price.

We dont pay tax on the full price of the car since Cali is not an up front state on leases. Hope this made more sense.
Not true at all. Not sure how many cars you have leased in NY but on all 5 of my leases, I only paid the tax on the payment (depreciation+rent), not the total selling price of the car. I bought my current M but an example on my last M lease was total tax of $2,425 based on 36 payments of $781.23. If the tax was based on the purchase price of the vehicle, I would have paid $5,594

Its different state to state. In Maryland you pay tax based on the price of the car. Haven't worked a lease for Florida in a long time and cant remember what they base the tax off of

I believe Vic is right you pay sales tax up front, one way or another. You have two options in NY you can either prepay your tax upfront or you can finance it throughout the term of the lease. In essence BMW finance pays for sales tax upfront to NY state and then finances it to you.
