Aaaaand with that this thread just went down the shithole.
LOL!

Guys - lets get back to the point of this thread which was a review by the OP and an education lesson by Raza on how his intakes work.

We all agree both intakes make power, and look similar but are two different designs. Now let's get this show on the road and focus on the original intention of this entire thread. It's gone completely sideways for obvious reasons and I think everyone gets the point.
+1

I can appreciate the time, design, and value of both intakes. Let's keep it professional and support innovation for the M5.

Can we hear a video of this intake already? No one is shaving seconds off their time slips with an upgraded intake system, not sure why we are arguing how much faster an MSR or RK intake system will make your car. Get a tune and catless downpipes if you want to be fast.

Raza, please post a video of how they sound while the car is boosting and how they sound when they blow off. Honestly that's all I care about, fuck the science behind it.

Now back to the interesting thread.

Honestly that was not me I was just heated. But just in the future this is a forum and people have their own personal opinions. You don't know me I don't know you. You should not have disrespected me in the first place. I will remove my posts.

It's a sensitive topic I guess ... It's worse in the M3/4 forums. LOL

Intakes appear to give the most power among all mods for this car...

I just gained 10whp for $4

Boy, did I see this coming...
A dozen times on different forums where a new vendor comes late to the party and gets crucified because their product directly competes with a popular vendor/member.

There is more than one way to skin a cat, RK's intake looks at the same problem as MSR's intake but takes a different approach to get to a similar conclusion.

I know Raza from M5board E39 forum, there are not too many people that have done more for that community. He has built me a sleeved S62 and s/c package that I hope will crush any previous speed records.

The fact that Raza has taken an interest in the F10 platform is only going to benefit the entire community if he decides to bring more products to market.

We still need to wrap up that fuel system, i've got some legit plans for it. Let me know when you want to knock it out this winter...because winter is coming.

I'm planning on some dyno pulls in a couple weeks. I could try to record a sound clip on my android phone standing near the front. But I dont think the induction sound is that loud. I can hear it when sitting there revving the car, but on the road running hard, its not discernible through the sound of the turbos/engine/exhaust, and with my windows partially down.

Just have someone record from the outside. I have straight pipes, down pipes, and intakes and I can hear mine inside between gears, WOT, and downshifting.

If MSR dropped the price to RK's, I would buy MSR just on the sound alone. And now that he's offered them in CF, all the more reason to do it!
