Hybrid Turbos Power Loss

Hi ,

I just pick up my car after a stage 2 hybrid turbo upgrade and the car have no power from the bottom , nothing really happen until 4k rpm then the car start to have some power

The garage making the upgrade tell me that because i put the hybrid turbos i need proper tune for them and then i gonna have the power at the bottom as well

Currently driving on BM3 Stage 2 tune

Anyone experienced same issue after turbo upgrade , is this normal?

Also throw code
104302 "Pressure to low after run"
101FO2 "Air Mass system plausibility"

BM3 OTS maps are for stock turbos. You need a custom tune for your setup.

A custom tune is mandatory with that set up. You’ll need more boost on the lower gears for those turbos to even start spinning good.

It sounds like you have everything planned out so the question is how did your shop drop the ball on a custom tune? Respectfully. Nice set up though. Did you also upgrade your driveshaft, rods,
Pistons and bearings?

Ditto on what everyone said. Don’t drive it anymore without a custom tune. You could ruin the engine and turbos.

What actual 'custom' tune you need will be determined by a tune expert over there, just have to look for one that is knowledgable with this.

Stock driveshaft , upgraded rods , bearings and JE Pistons

My shop tell me that i need new tune but he can't do it because he is not a tuner

So the code thrown is most likely related to upgraded turbos and no tune ?

What power can i expect from that setup ?

Here’s an example, I’m running a mild BPM stage 2 tune, MSR intakes and Fabworx catless downpipes. I’m sitting on roughly 705 HP with 675 TQ.

All this was well calculated and mapped out. I’ve been running this same set up for about 90k miles. I could have easily gotten another 40-60 more HP and TQ out of it but at what cost?

As I said in my previous post, you’ve spent the bread to have a well built machine. Trying to squeeze all the juice out will ultimately put you into the same boat as many others who’ve tried to push this platform to the very limits.

If I were you (and I am you), I would keep your HP below 750 and the TQ below 700. Find a happy spot for those hybrid turbos and enjoy the hell of it (occasionally). I also wouldn’t spend a lot of time punching it from a dig.
