Nice Rob! The wrap, exhaust, and spoiler turned out great. I was at EAS just after you left that day. LOL! I'll see you at C&C tomorrow.

Rob - Here's a quote from Supersprint's website:

"The factory one-piece muffler system has a complex design, which includes a built in flapper valve on one side of the system that has the sole purpose to alter the sound note at certain pre-set rpm levels. This design reduces performance at low RPM. Supersprint rear mufflers alone increase the torque and max hp by a significant amount, especially at low rpm. The results are a mature aggressive sound free of droning, even at low rpm and high loads. "

I would appreciate your thoughts on this statement. Do you feel better low end performance? Any drone? Thanks!

Yeah, I saw the same before purchase but figured it was kind of marketing hype. I haven't seen any catback exhausts with real performance gains. I will say it doesn't feel any slower in the low end, but I can't feel much of a difference. Haven't dynod it yet. Will be installing the full exhaust when it's ready.

There is absolutely zero drone. A nice coast down growl at about 2k RPM...just exaggerates the car's natural tone at that speed.

SuperSprint offers downpipes?

Overall, I am extremely pleased but want even more sound! I can't wait to put the midpipe and downpipes on to open her up even more. Stay tuned for more pics of the install from EAS.

Here's a vid of some driving today (sorry for the static...I need a better mic).

Well, not yet they don't.

I'm told they are currently planned for release in March/April timeframe.

Supersprint tells me the race version will have a deeper tone, which is kind of crazy to me. The sport mufflers are already so deep and full sounding. Deeper than any other exhaust I've heard. If the race made the sound higher pitched instead, I would be interested, but doesn't look like it does.

The video they published is using the sport mufflers with valves. Of course that is also the full system with downpipes.

Ya I'm having a hard time deciding which exhaust, and I like your sport version, but I just want it a tad louder. Too bad there wasn't a video of just the race mufflers...thanks for your input Rob.

It has "opened up" quite a bit since that video, and is now louder. But I'm with you...I like a pretty loud exhaust as well.

You know whats funny. The shelby mustang comes with a awesome sounding exhaust that is very nice one to hear. I just wish our cars sounded like they perform. We all could have saved some hard earned money.

+1 boots. AMG, Porsche, Aston are all now coming with glorious exhaust notes from the factory.

How much louder is the Supersprint muffler only versus stock both inside and outside of the car? Is it merely deeper or does it actually add some decibels?

Thanks in advance!

Cold start is much louder. Overall tone is much deeper. On hard acceleration the volume is louder and more aggressive, but not a crazy increase over stock. It wasn't enough for me, but is about middle of the pack when it comes to aftermarket options.

The overall volume ratings for aftermarket exhausts (incl SS) are here:

Thanks really appreciate your feedback. Is the cold start you mention just for that first 30 seconds? Is it obnoxiously loud where you're waking up the neighbors?

Finally, how about inside the cabin with the windows up? Does the sound make it into the cabin?

Just first 30 seconds. It's bassy loud, but not really wake the neighbors loud (I guess it depends how close your neighbors are).

With my new E Race, my wife tells me the house shakes on cold start She is not smiling when she says this
