Michelin PSS vs Pirelli PZero ? Dare I say vs Nitto?

My rear Stock Michelin PSStires are 4-5/32 tread now with 12k miles now on them
And need your help guys with this ?

Michelin again vs Pirelli
Track vs DailyD use?
I don't mind more tread life (12k now not shabby, I drift sometimes and spinning tires is part of the M5 ownership perks - Pricewise Pirellis are more expensive ! Like 50$ more a piece
I am looking for more grip, and thus is why looking for something else -

Raring on Tire rack 4.5/5 For Michelin vs 4/5 Pirelli

Anything on this brand called Nitto? Very cheap and I heard excellent grip but seems bad in wet?

Any input will be highly appreciated

Wow... I'm the first one voted lol
I have no idea about other brands, but have heard in several threads PSS is the best one! BTW @Soooma I have less tread (3-4/32" ?) with 11k mile on the clock! You are a good driver

Yeah
I know bro
One way to gauge or measure how much fun you are having in this car especially hearing anecdotes about tread up to 30k miles !! Driving like a grandpa - I guess in such cases,
silly me I believed people and thought I would get 20k plus out of them -

So no better traction with Pirellis? What about tread?
Any experience with Pirelli here ?

Michelin PSS tires are the top dog for now. This review on Tire Rack was not surprising.

Guys you are awesome -
What a forum -
You did change my mind with science not just personal bias!!
Evidence based and educated choice !
As I said already purchased front Pirellis 265/35/20 (Couldn't resist 2 new for less than 350 $) and will get 2 rear Michelin PSS 295 30 20 and will report back to you how different they feel.

Though I got a deal 2 Pirellis P Zero rear size for 580$ Brand New and recent DOT!

It seems my braking distance will suffer based on C&D review because of Pirellis but glad I didn't go with Pirellis for the rear too as they do matter more!!

Return the Pzeros. PSS is the best tire for the M5 (and it's intended use) on the street IMO.

Yokohama AD08R are my favorite street tire, but unlikely available in 20"

I actually have a set of Pzeros in the M5 rear size. Took them off my DBS and replaced with PSS. They have been driven a grand total of 50 miles. If you want them, I'll sell them very cheap. Otherwise going in the garbage.

I don't mind trying them -
But how cheap are we talking ? -
I am tempted (I still have cheap bones in me it seems - LOL
Act resist a deal when I see one which is why I have the front Pirellis
Got them new for a steal and couldn't resist
And I don't think I will mind to get another steal even if I won't have to mount them and keep them for emergency situations -

Private message me we will take it from there

Ok sheesh. Got hammered with PMs. Apparently there's no need to sell in the member for sale section. Lol.

Tires are gone. And my apologies Sooma, but a local member wants them and I'm too lazy to ship

PSS no question. I could run 325's in the rear on my 21" DPE's, but chose 305 to stay with Michelin. You won't like the PZero's -- too noisy.

Are you really going to put different tires on the front and back axles?!? I know it CAN be done... But I wouldn't do it.

While not recommended, I think the only real traction problem with the difference would be in wet conditions.

Seconded, not for me, and any accidents would / could deem an insurance cop-out. Be warned.
