My wife's Honda has better throttle response than the M5

What the heck? Anyone use or recommend Sprint Booster?

Thanks

The M5's throttle response is pretty crisp in Sport + mode.

I've never heard of anyone using a sprint booster on an M5. I've seen them used a lot on the N63Tu motors and other NA motors with good results.

Just use the sport plus engine mode and transmission response on 2 or 3.

LOL the M5 throttle response in sport plus is almost over the top-- zero need for a sprint booster... I guess it all depends on what setting you are in.

We can fix that, but in sport and sport+ it should be more than enough.

guessing the honda is NA?

The M5 has very good throttle response for a turbo car, are you going off free reving or talking about response in gear while driving??

That has to be a joke, or we are not talking about the same car here ?
Please don't even start it saying anything about throttle response,
total nonsense.
Sorry but could not help myself

It is all in what you are used to. I have been driving with a pedal box on my 7 and it is more responsive than my M5 in sport+.

I found this thread from 09/14. They seem to have similar opinions. I use efficient mode a lot unless I'm on the highway on a spirited drive.

By throttle response slower than honda, I mean from a standstill or if I blip the throttle in 1st gear.

Comfort mode is awful. Always has been. Just drive in comfort mode with setting set to S2 and you will feel better responsiveness. I personally just drive in M1 mode with everything set to the max. Lights up the tires every time.

Yeah, apparently. I was trying to squeeze that extra 2 mpg out of the beast. But with JB4 + BCM installed it's going to be difficult to not let 'er rip more often.

People mistake the throttle response button for engine mode - its not.
It literally is for throttle response. The engine is always in 560/575/600 bhp (Normal, CP, 30Jahre), all you alter is the throttle.

Sorry I don't understand this. You have an M5 and you want to try to squeeze out an extra 2mpg? I think you need a different car. haha

Half the fun on the E60 M5 was seeing how low of an MPG you could do

I have made the transition from trying to see how long I can make a set of PSS last to how quickly I can burn through a set. It's much more fun that way.

Hmmm,...a lawn mower engine is quite responsive too,...but what would you rather be doing,...cutting grass,...or kicking ass in an ///M5?,....or a Honda? Just say'n!

Totally differnet engine response and design, you cannot compare. And it actually doesn't relate to anything... blipping the engine 'quickly' is only an advantage to manual cars between down changes- in gear response is a totally differnet thing and your honda won't even be close to the S63tu.

Blipping is for cars and coffee to show off and nothing more...
