Takes a while for the car to get used to it. It will feel sluggish for the first few cycles.

Any more info on the ECU tune? Are those the guys in HB?

Getting used to as in the DME/ECU has to "get used to" the tune. Not the driver...

And RPiM5 also has a straight piped F10 M5, I believe he has gained performance after the straight pipe install.

It sounds almost like the car is in limp mode. Check again for control messages in the vehicle menu. I am pretty sure limp mode throws a CEL though.

On a different note, has anyone ever heard of "tuning groups tune"?

Yeah but my friend has no use what's he's doing or anything about exhaust about back pressure. He just thinks it "sounds cool" had multiple shops check it out and even had the owner of ECUTuning come out

He said this started happening the same day he changed to straight piping. I'm guessing muffler shop messed up maybe a leak? Don't think it has anything to do with the tune but forsure no turbo at all right now

which modifications has he done exactly?
custom-made pipes from downpipes to tips or he changed dp's as well and put aftermarket exhaust?

doesnt make sense to me...
would make more sense if this problem would have appeared after the tune... but if he just did the exhaust, maybe his ecu got f*cked same time they put new exhaust
could have been just a coincidence
would really like to know the outcome

This seems odd. What kind of straight pipe did he install? Did he have them check for leaks? Even if there was an exhaust leak it wouldnt affect power that much. How long has he been running the piggyback>>?

Yes, like Tyler said it sounds like they did not plug the vacume lines. And according to what you said, he had a cheap shop do the work and he is not worried about it. Just switching to different piping wont cause the problem. Many of us run straight pipes on this board and our cars rip! But a smart man wouldn't just put someones tune that showed up on facebook. When a true tune does come out, EVERYONE on this board will know about it straight forward and wont have to go looking for it. Hope you guys get it working.
