Supersprint Catted Downpipes have arrived !
I'm very excited after 5 long weeks of waiting my Supersprint catted DP's have arrived from Italy . As usual the quality of the product is extremely high, very nice welds and OEM O2 sensor locations . It looks almost identical to stock with the exception , as you can see in the 2nd and final pick it has a single 200 cell HJS catalyzer instead of the stock 600 setup . These are the same cats that come OEM in the Porsche GT3. Given the stock size of the DP and the HJS it should flow much better than other catted options, sound great and eliminate the excessive fuel smell and rear bumper staining that I grew tired of in my catless v10 M6 . I am less optimistic about a 200 cel not causing an emissions light but , SS says it will not so I will let everyone know. I have good 60-130 and 1/4 mile GPS ( Vbox) baselines in my 2014 CP M6 ( 8.09 no slope -1k DA ) 11.8 @128.3mph 1/4 no launch ,so I will retest after adaptation and let everyone know the results .

HJS Cats are one of the best ones out there.. They really have worked well on other Porsche applications.. Look forward to the sound clips..

Initial review of SS DP's
So I have about a 120 miles on the DP's at this point, the install was straightforward and the fitment perfect . The flow is actually so high on these 200 cell HJS cats my car is needing to adapt like others have described with catless DP's . No CEL but the car is noticeably inconsistent in the top of 4th gear vs pre install . 1st , 2nd , 3rd gear it is much stronger . The turbos spool up almost instantly now which removed the bog I experienced before when I just floored it from a stop . The sound is amazing as well with the CP exhaust , but my iPhone vids don't do it justice so I won't bother posting those . It just amplifies the burbles and pops of the CP exhaust by about 30% , which is quite loud and sounds great. ! Peak torque comes in much lower now I'd say about a 1000 rpm sooner . Here is my first set of testing data using my V box sport . Conditions of the run -600 DA , 0 slope , 3/4 full gas tank , stock wheels and tires as well as pressures . Only mods , Gruppe M intake , SS catted DP's . I think once it adapts it will have even more in it , but the 0-130 time is ridiculous 12.58 sec!!!
The 30-130 time of 10.5 sec is half a second faster than what BMW performance magazine got out of the Evolve supercharged 600 hp E92 in a recent shoot out!!! Evolve Supercharged E92 M3 vs F13 M6 and others. Oh and 7 sec faster than a 445 hp tuned 1M with a very similar motor to the S55 ..... 08-Oct-13 : Evolve Automotive We attended a shoot out organised by Performance BMW Magazine that pitched modified BMW's against the new F13 M6. The magazine featuring this article is the July 2013 edition which is readable in PDF format below. 30-130 MPH results on the day with claimed BHP by the car owners. The test was carried out at private runway with a positive (uphill) slope. The times should therefore be taken in context with the cars tested on the day. Evolve SC M3 600 BHP 11.3 Stock F13 M6 11.8 DMS E60 M5 590 BHP 13.6 ESS E39 M5 640 BHP 14.7 Ray West 1M 454 BHP 17.6 |

Here is the acc graph . The DCT really is an amazing thing . I have a stock tune , luxury GT car that can run. 11.6 all day long without launch control , and pull on almost anything from a roll as well , while being surrounded in luxury and technology. It's a damn beautiful car too , that's a blast to drive , BMW hit it out of the park with the CP M6 IMHO .

Thanks for the update!
It looks like your 60-100mph time went down from 3.75s to 3.63s which is all happening at the top of 2nd gear and all of 3rd gear. Not bad considering this run was done in less favorable conditions than your previous best. I am sure your overall 60-130mph time will also come down once the car properly adapts. |

I am at 300 miles post SS 200 cell catted install , and continue to have no CEL . I also scanned it with my PLX and there are no pending codes either , and the catalyzer is reading in the green . The pic is from Dashcommander which is my management program for the PLX . This was after a spirited drive with oil at it max usual temp . Not bad at all , those intercoolers work really well . FYI with 60 degree air temps , I did not see boost go over 11.x psi . Car is running great now , I'm giving the SS DP's two big thumbs up !

When are you going to take videos of your exhaust setup and share it with us
I have a M6 GC with CP as well. I'm really thinking seriously about the SS catted DP's!

I take it that the SS DP's with the microcats have not been able to prevent CEL's? Consistent suppression of CEL would be a winner for me....
