Brake Caliper 'M' decal

Hey Guys

Was wondering if you could help me out, the 'M' decals on my front brake callipers have started fading quiet a lot, was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and a way to fix it?
I don't know if you can just get stickers to cover it and if that would work and if so which would be the best to get, there are millions of different ones on ebay..

Thanks a lot,

Ben

I have the same problem and I've heard some dealers would warranty but I have yet to find one that would.

I have also contemplated getting stickers but have no had the time to do so. I would imagine you'd want to clear coat the calipers after the vinyl stickers are installed.

Yeah will need to sand down, apply the sticker then clear coat. Its just finding the perfect stickers that look exactly OEM, so many different ones on ebay!

I emailed IND and they said they could do me stickers for $115 delivered to England

I have an extended warranty so might see what my local dealer says.

While IND certainly makes some beautiful products, good god are they grossly overpriced. It's borderline price gouging.

I painted my fathers M5's calipers the other day, and used these. Good seller. Product good so far.

Try a dealer- first dealer I went to said no. Second dealer covered 100%. Talk to the service manager. It's a known issue.

Thanks mate will do. Were you still under warranty or did you have an extended one?

Always use the same SA (or change to one who is into cars). Slip him a $20 once in awhile, you'll be glad you did when you need help.

Hi Ben,

Not sure if you're sorted now, but I recently used Jonny @ Brake Caliper Refurbs to completely strip and refurbish all 4 of my 964 Turbo calipers, and switching from 3.3 Turbo Black to 3.6 Turbo/S Red....was impressed, all new seals fitted, new bolts, sliding plates, all genuine Porsche/Brembo parts and immaculately finished (and apparently nano coated). The Porsche logos were reapplied as stickers though; I was under the impression that they were going to be stencil sprayed in white and then laquered over, but overall, from less than a metre away, you wouldn't notice. Not too unreasonable either...even for an avid DIY'er like me, it wasn't worth the hassle.

(He also comes highly recommended by a lot of the Rennlist community)

HTH
Spencer.
