HPFP High pressure fuel pump failure??

Sounds like the LPFP. Same thing happened to me last year. Easy roadside replacement.

Did your car throw a "P142E" code?

what symptoms was your car having?

No symptoms whatsoever. Drove perfect and died suddenly - I wasn’t even able to get fully off the roadway.

It threw about 10 fuel system related codes.

I just popped the fuel line under the hood before the HPFP and cranked - no fuel.

Grabbed a fuel pump assembly from the dealership and installed it on the side of the road. Sketchy af!

Car still not starting. Thinking it's now the LPFP. Gonna test the pressure tomorrow.
Even if both of your high pressure pumps failed, the car would still start and run off of the low pressure pump alone, it's designed that way. If the car won't start at all, it's the low pressure pump, or you got water in the trunk and the ekps (fuel pump module)is dead. Check both. The module is next too the battery.
