CEL and BMS Intake loose
Folks, looking for some feedback here..
Today at work I noticed my CEL was on. My car is a 2013 BMW M5 with a BMS Stage 1 installed, along with BMS intake & charge pipes. My initial thought when I seen the CEL was that it had something to do with the start/stop feature which stopped working recently. However upon popping my hood I noticed my BMS intake came loose. I am assuming the terrible installers I was using didn't install the pipe clamp tight enough causing it to eventually go loose. Safe to say this caused my CEL? Unfortunately with BMS stage 1 I cant read CEL codes. Either way I will likely be disabling the BMS Stage 1 and bringing my car into the dealership to be looked at. |

Just got to an autozone or pick up a cheap 16 handheld and read/reset the codes

I picked up the PLX 2 wifi dongle and used the free torque app to read and clear. Also reads a ton of data
