OP, if 25k price difference wouldn't make any difference, go for M6GC, i think the M6GC is a sexier car, however, it is not 25k sexier.... thats why i ordered a M5 back in September.

But then again he doesn't have a head for such decisions.....

I would take my Frozen Grey Winterfell Edition M5 Individual over a standard M6GC any day. if you saw it parked next to a San Marino Blue M6GC, most people would pick the M5 Winterfell Edition. An M6GC Winterfell would be a different matter.
I'm sorry but I would bet quite a lot of money that most people would pick the M6GC over an M5. Winterfell Edition or not..

[QUOTE=bufuro;14984454]I really love the look of the M6GC especially with the SMB color.

However, I am little concerned about the attention the car would bring if I go with the M6 with that color.

What do you guys think? Will I regret if I go with M5?[/QUOTE

The SMB M6GC is an amazing car. My friend just acquired one in September and we went driving in rural NJ/PA on some windy country roads. The cars don't get attention because American drivers are idiots and/or clueless.

You will occasionally get someone who knows what the cars are but don't worry about too much attention in either.

PS My M3 e92 Lime Rock gets A LOT of attention. I have been randomly stopped in parking lots and get more attention in that car than in any other I have owned. It may be one of the most exotic looking cars BMW M has put out ever.

Agree this is not a hard choice. I love my M5, but there was no M6GC at the time which would have been my choice hands down.

There is no question the M6GC is an amazing super sporty and eye catching car. It is stunning. That said, it depends on what you are primarily using the car for primarily. If its just for you, and 25K doesn't move the needle, then the M6 GC is a no brainer.

But if you are me - and need a comfortable family cruiser with lots of room in the back for passengers, then the M5 wins all day long. I am 6'4" and the head room in the back of the GC is a problem. I had the X6 M previously and same issue.

But if the car is just for you, then I agree with you.

PS M5 is faster than the M6 GC.

Yep I hear ya, I'm 6'3 so no big deal it's all preference. I'm not so hooked on speed hit the track every now and then. Honestly speed has become a pissing contest you can never win. I was close to trading in the 991S for a turbo which just hit the lots, and sub 3 zero to 60 is killer but no use for me. I love the lines on the GC, and the rear is nice too just a 4 seater which is confortable not that I would ride in it.

it is pretty much of how you evaluate 25k vs look....... if you think the M6GC look 25k better than the M5 then go for it, I do love the M6GC look, but it just didn't make a 25k difference to me, so i went with M5.

Sat in the rear of an M6GC. SERIOUSLY cramped dimensions. Impossible to transport adults for anything more than short distances. Makes sense if you have small children, though.

Yeah the rear is definitely cramped, although much better than the M6 Coupe. Surprisingly, I thought the rear seats in the 4 Series felt roomier and more comfortable than the M6 Coupe and M6 Gran Coupe.
