Motor Trend Car of the Year - LCI M5?
The caption on the Motor Trend website says:
"Our contenders are arriving by the truckloads. #MTCOTY starts this week!!!" Usually they only include new models or ones that have made significant updates in the Motor Trend Car of the Year testing... I am thinking that this particular F10 M5 has the Competition package, otherwise the other LCI changes wouldn't have been significant enough to warrant its inclusion. |

Key MT Sponsor, VW probably paid MT to include the M5 CP so they can humiliate BMW by beating it with the RS7, the Panamera Turbo LCI and the GT3.

Easy. Front end grip with the 285 from tires make under steer non existent and provides confidence.
Straight line: M5 is king. I believe the tuning on the ZL1 is holding it back. Doesn't feel like 580 hp. I can tune it for 485.00. Amazing right? Pulley change coming as well. I should be at 580 rwhp then. Straight line is M5 owned right now. |

I enjoy driving both. I just park one for a week. And use the other one for work. Then the following week I switch the car out. One week on, one week off. That's their work schedule. It's the M5 on duty this week. Then the car that had the week off gets washed throughout the week. |

LOL - I look forward to the RS7 v M5 results. I suspect M5 CP takes this one if their recent first drive of M5 CP is any indicator.

Hey I'm not judging. Everyone needs a revenue model. As a guy who has a 16 year career in the media industry, I would say that embedded advertising (e.g. placing an Aston Martin in a movie) that doesn't look like obvious advertising is much more effective in driving consideration than overt advertising. The VW Group has established a fantastic network of embedded advertising with the automotive press.
