One of the things I enjoy almost as much as driving my car is waxing/polishing it.

LOVE that steering wheel. Any idea if it will be available to buy on its own (for an M6)?

i wish BMW would prioritize releasing the car worldwide first, then marketing the aftermarket stuff later. very frustrating from a US standpoint that this stuff is coming out before we can even get our orders in.

These are likely frozen 'metallic' colors. Where it's a matte clear coat on top of a metallic paint, like the frozen blue metallic M3 shown at the ny autoshow - http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=671943

Looks plenty good to me

You're right, it looks great! The minor issue is that it is too difficult to care for and actually maintain. And as a perspective customer, that would prevent me from purchasing until they figure out a way to make it more manageable.

Yes to the contrasting stitching and M logo headrest, though I would prefer and smaller M in the backrest and a tricolor slash somewhere else on the seat.

M cars have become a little bland in this area, a little less unique than they used to be. 'The a regular' M5 does not have M logo'd seats, no tricolor on the interior except for the steering wheel and gear lever, the fenders don't look flared unless you see it next to a regular 5, the engine is not a unique (its good, but not the same). Seeing an M car used to make me feel like a kid, the same way seeing a Bentley or a Rolls would do, not so much anymore.

I still want an F10 though, like tomorrow if I could, and then I would go to an interior trimmer and have the seats restitched..

I am curious how many of the frozen color owners have actually reported having issues caring for and maintaining this paint? Or is this perception based on assumption?

It's unbased perception without personal knowledge. Look at these threads, there are frozen paint owners who say that maintenance is as easy, if not easier than regular gloss paint.

As impractical the Frozen color is, I'd take the Frozen Red for the M5 the Frozen Blue on that M3 is awesome!

Not enough M's in the name to justify the price premium and definitely too few M badges. For that much money I want to see AT LEAST 4 M's in the name and twice as many M badges everywhere. BMW dropped the ball on this one.

Also, matte black would have looked cool. I am not a big fan of frozen colors either, except for black.

The only car I'd ever get in a frozen finish is the M3. I consider the M5 to be, still a high performance saloon, but waaaaaaay to luxurious to be garnished with such a "raw" paint scheme. If I was ordering an M5, I'd stay away from all this frozen hype and go BMW Individual all the way. I think that red looks like shit.

What's with this outrageous marketing strategy? The premiums just keep getting ridiculous.
+1. I personally love the look, but unless I'm missing something(s) significant, this represents easily the worst value to price premium yet.

...and they'll probably sell out in no time. So from BMW's perspective, why stop?

I am not too keen on frozen in colors other than black and dark metallic gray.

I agree. M is supposed to the performance edition. It suggests that the M brand is going, or has gone, the way of AMG. It adds to the dilution of the M brand caused by the offering of the M Sport Package or whatever it is called. This development is adding to my internal debate over whether I should cancel my recent order for F10 M5, for which I thankfully have not yet paid the deposit, and keep my E90 M3.
