Burger Motorsports stage 1 tune... OMG... 70whp 50wtq!! Dyno video

Hey guys,
I like many of you have been waiting for a real tune for the m5. I peekd at the switzer package and liked it but felt it was a tad rich for my blood being a piggy back and not a real tune per se. I had a great experience with the JB4 on my 135i so i turned to Terry to try his tune as stopgap.

Here's the scoop:
45 degrees outside and 60 degrees on the dyno at P1 Performance
Brand new Dynojet
93 octane from Sunoco
Carbon filter delete
Stock everything
BMS stage 1

I ran the car with the tune first then switched to stock since she was already adapted.
Stock numbers same day after cool down:
Car is smooth and pulls very hard to redline. Not bad for under $500!

STOCK:

STAGE 1:

The BMS tuner comes with an interface that allows you plug and play amd switch from map 1 to map 0. You can also run basic boost logs. Stage 2 if it ever arrives would have more comprehensive logging.

So i switched it off after reaching the peak number to see what she makes stock. Make sense?

I don't see a tune for the M5 on their website. Are you running a beta tune?

Nice results! Did you use map 1 (+2.25psi) or map 2 (+3psi) or map 3 (4psi)?

Interesting, but where do you get the +70whp and +50wtq figures from?

The stock run was a 591hp (according to the video) and the tuned run was 623hp, that's a 32hp difference...

The stock run was 553whp (Run #6). But it looks like that run was SAE corrected and the 623whp run (#5) was STD corrected. I believe that the video shows the best tuned run #5 at 618whp SAE corrected when showing the 553whp stock tune and a 591whp (Run #4) which looks like is 599whp when STD corrected. SAE correction uses just the atmospheric conditions while STD correction uses elevation in addition to the atmospheric conditions. So comparing stock SAE 553whp to tuned best 618whp SAE corrected, the tune is making 65whp which is still extremely good for under $500.

Yeah all my buddies kept wanting to see uncorrected, corrected std, sae etc... Then there was too much smoothing so we changed that too. Whichever way you cut it, the car made big power and the tune works.
700hp for $350... Im in!

Sorry for the confusion. In video 1, look at the second reading which is run 7 it reads: 553/536

I've been running this tune since September. Amazing bang for the buck.

No doubt!

Do all M5's have the same type of MAP sensor plugs? I might have to give BMS a shot!

Those are crazy results Greg, I think I might have seen your car down at P1 not too long ago. I want to go there and get some numbers for my car. This weather is certainly helping FI power, now the only problem is traction, esp since in the coming week it will be time to switch to winters.
