Non-ethanol fuel

I found a filling station that sells 91 octane non-ethanol fuel. It's about $1.00 more per gallon. I don't mind spending the extra $$ but what exactly are the benefits? They also sell 101 octane leaded, but will only put it in off-raid vehicles.

Any clarity on this?

Better power if your car has not been set up to handle ethanol.
You get better efficiency and lasts longer which mean more POWER!

100% gasoline has 113,000 btu per gallon
100% ethanol has 76,000 btu per gallon
100% diesel fuel has 130,000 btu per gallon

Here's a website that lists allows you to search for gas stations in your area that sell non-ethanol fuel: http://www.pure-gas.org/

Happy hunting.

So explain why E30 blend cars make more power than 93 or 100 octane ?

I do know E85 burns faster (less MPG) though

I think there are a lot of Myths about E85 out there in order to keep customers in Gasoline tied vehicles (more Bu$ine$$ for the USA)

Car's that are tuned to use E30 need bigger injectors and bigger fuel pumps in order to utilize the E30. Because Ethanol runs cooler if you tune it correctly you can more power than regular gas at the tradeoff of using more ethanol hence the bigger injectors and bigger fuel pumps

Actually, E30 is the max non-ethanol cars can run on stock injectors and fuel pump. I've seen a lot of Dyno's lately showing 340 doing 420whp on a E30 blend with a jb4 on e85 map
