TÜVs (German pronunciation: [ˈtʏf]; short for German: Technischer Überwachungs-Verein, English: Technical Inspection Association)
I live in EU so its important to know, if you buy such car with that loud RPi GTM Exhaust System But good to hear that its possible to pass then By the way i think if you put cattle's downpipes then you can get in trouble i am talking about this car:

I don't know about your side of the country in regards of rules for engine mods. But Dave and I run Catless dp. He was the first one to do this on the f10 platform and after hearing his and him telling me to do tbe same, the smile is constant. Find out your regulations and if you can do it I would.

I don't know if TUV has decibel restrictions that you must pass for inspections, but if not, you will have no problem passing emissions inspections from TUV with the RPi GTM exhaust system. The RPi GTM doesn't change anything in regards to emissions, as the F10/F06/F12/F13 only have a set of primary cats in the downpipes for emissions control. If you live in Germany and want to do downpipes, lucky for you the downpipes are extremely easy to uninstall and install for times when you want to put the stock pipes back in to pass inspection. If TUV does have decibel restrictions for inspection then it may be best to put the stock system back on before inspection.
This is completely unlike the E60 M5 where the primary cats were part of the header design and the best way to pass inspection with catless headers was to buy the RPi GT Headers with interchangeable cats that could be quickly bolted on and off or some other tuners headers with a similar design.

But you can go for Tüf inspection with your stock exhaust once a year and have your mechanic switch the exhaust. It will cost you a few hundred Euros each year but the sound and power will be worth it!!!! Viel Glück |

Well i got some official answer from RPI:
"THere are no issues with the TUV. The hoses going to the stock system are plugged and there are no errors or drivability issues."

You are in the wrong thread if you are worried about noise. The RPI GTM exhaust is badass and loud. I love it but it is not quiet ever.

Normal driving is quite w gtm. It's only cold start for 10 seconds = loud and if your on the pipe. I think your kids would get a kick out of your new "race car".

No. That's is not what I said. The car is quite but if your pounding tbe peddle as any other car it gets loud as any other exhaust will do. My parents always drive w me w no complaints. Buy one. You won't regret it

Raumy is right if your worried about loud noise I suggest you stay stock. Even stock on the gas makes nice sounds. But not as nice as aftermarket pipes. Remember our car is insulated very well. You can look at my YouTube channel. Boots ubtrippin

OP, it's tough to gauge your noise tolerance as everyone's a different.
The RPI GTM is a great system and sounds amazing. Cold Start is loud but goes away within 10 seconds. There is drone like with many exhausts around 1800 but can be avoided by driving in a different gear or in D2/3. Outside of that RPM range it's quiet until you WOT. Our cars are very well insulated so it's not as loud inside as it is outside. If Downpipes is in your future, I warn you that it will be very loud. If not, your done with the GTM. Here is a video If it were me and I had a good exhaust shop near by.. I would just have them delete my resonators and add the turner muffler delete and save your money. That's what I did. Sounded the same as the any other straight piped system. You can find them used all day long. Here is the turner but with stock resonators.

Your other options are Meistercraft Exhaust and Eisenmann which I believe are both German systems and under 4K each and sound great. Plenty of videos out there.
Another idea is the Agency Power System. They are running holiday specials and may be able to get a full titanium system for $3k.

Cat Back systems, except the Akra.. Of the axle back systems, Turner is probably the loudest, and then Eisenmann Race and Meisterschaft Super Light GT..all are loud WOT. The RPi video shown by 13 M5F10 is of my car with stock downpipes. Since changing them out the car is more animal.
