Spacers with 305/30/20 tires

Traction issues so was thinking of the 305/30/20 set up, but would these tires and 10mm front and 12mm spacers be to much? Will it rub? Please help!

i think we should start a thread where everyone posts detailed pics of their car.

provide details such as spacers, comp pack or not, which kit etc. think it would be incredibly helpful.

I don't think the 305's will make much of a difference for traction. There is not that much difference. I hear Toyo R888's provides the best traction for getting out of the hole and racing

These 305s will make a huge difference!

All pics with no spacers.

I don't have any pics with 10mm spacers all around.

I run 12/10 f/r setup with my stock wheels and tires. If I were to run a spacer with 305s it would be 5mm.

305 vs 295 adds 5mm poke. If you were running 12mm spacer on stock rear (as I did at one point), you'd only need a 7mm spacer with the 305.

So from recollection, yes, a 305 + 12mm spacer rear would rub. I ran stock +12mm spacer at all corners and it was near perfect flush. I'm sure I posted pix at some point.

BTW - I ran 12mm all around. 12 looks better than 10 front, imho.

I am currently running 12mm on all 4 corners. I know the recommendation is 10mm on the front, but it wouldn't make a noticeable difference.

Please see this thread for pictures and discussion on 305/30/20.
PZeros are a great tire and I've run 3 sets at least on the rear. I've loaded a new tune that is a hang of a lot of power so I tried R888s. They're great but don't expect to get much more than 3000 miles out of a set and they're terrible in the wet vs the PZeros which do well in the rain. From first hand experience (last night) R888s in the wet are terrifying!

305 103Y Pirellis provide much better traction if you can deal with the look of the sidewall. (Pirelli on top, Michelin on the bottom)

Always get the Pirellis in 99Y 305s. R888s been fun tire.

Well, I just made the switch from 295 to 305 pzeros.

I'm lowered on H&R springs and was originally running 12mm spacers all around. With the 305 and 5mm spacers, it is very slightly tucked in vs. 295 and 12mm spacers.

If you are not lowered, you can probably get away with 305 pzeros 99Y and 10mm spacers, but it would be close.

edit: this is on stock 343m wheels

5mm is what I hear can work on the rear and ensure no rubbing. Ive personally never bothered running spacers with 305 tires. Currently running 315 rear tire and spacers would be a problem.
