Air suspension setup

Been playing with the idea of selling my v3's to switch to a good air setup. Can anyone on here recommend a good setup? I would like to have accuair management but I'm having trouble figuring out what company to go with for the struts. Any input would be appreciated.

Don't they normally have a kit put together already vehicle specific? I've also thought about it too! Have you tried contacting Accuair? Seems like every car show vehicles are on air bags!

Not on the m5. Accuair only makes the management and airrex makes the struts but airrex is garbage from what I'm reading.

What's the goal with going air? Aesthetics, performance, etc?

I have driven a special M5 that belongs to one of my business partners in Japan. It's an F11 Touring and has factory rear air suspension. His wife uses the car and Studie looked into adding air to the front as well. It's possible but a big and expensive job that IMO, isn't well suited for the car, and that's just with half of it installed. All 4 corners would be a disappointment I think. Ride height is too tall to be comfortable, and lowering it is just riding on the bump stops...equally unpleasant.

The rear uses E60 components and the front would have been a mix of E7x with custom spec ZF struts.

You gotta go with airlift components and accuair management.

Airlift makes the strut for F10 M5. It's been done.
I would go for airlift 3H over accuair.

Could add kw's hls lift kit, I ran the hls4 (4 wheel lift) on my GT3 with V3's it was a great set up that made the car fairly practical and track ready.

that Audi with the air suspension is pretty sweet! there's a shot when they had 4 guys get into it and the car automatically adjusted itself for the additional weight. i thought that was cool! air suspension isn't cheap but how the heck are these imports and euros doing them? seems like every car at the car shows has them!

Surely bagging an M5 will affect its performance characteristics.. Positive or negative?

so i pulled this up and it looks like for the airlift suspension by itself is $2250

the Accuair management system runs $2095

looks like the Airrex systems run $7,750

I decided to stay with my v3's after doing a ton of research. Nothing will perform as good as these coilovers. The only thing I would gain with an air setup is the adjustability and being able to show off when I raise or lower the car with an app on my phone. Not to mention an air setup will cost twice as much as my coilovers and I'd probably never be able to sell an air setup when I part my car out.

The shop I recommended earlier, he is currently building an air ride setup on a F10 M5
He can build you the parts and send to you.
It is worth calling him and asking his opinions. You wont regret it.
