aight guys here's the latest. engine replaced at 47,000ish miles. it had about 48500 when i bought it. they said the hoses were routed wrong and when the engine was previously installed. according to SA one of the radiator hoses blew off and that's why the coolant was steaming off the engine. it was never run hot. tech collected specifications and gave them to a regional service coordinator or something to that effect. been driving now for the last 2 days. put on about 400 miles.. everything seems to be running ok. and those weren't gingerly miles either lol.

You may ask them to replace the water pump. And of course check engine temp history via DME

Wow man. Just read this whole thread and thinking everything went from negative to positive til I got to the last post. Sorry for your loss on the car. You were able to take that pic which means more than the car any day.

Can anyone speculate what this might cost to repair. I'm not sure if it's gonna total or not.

3 airbags deployed steering wheel and the two canopy bags probably gonna hood fenders and headlights adaptive LED and all the sensors

At the dealership: I'd assume at least $20K at least.
Sorry for your loss, but glad you are OK.

Can you post some additional pix? This will help but I would speculate it is more than likely a total loss based on what I can see in that picture.

TBH, nothing surprises me these days. Due diligence is key when dealing with dealerships.

So I just read that in NC (where the vehicle is titled) it needs 70% of value of the fair market value. That's nearly 35k most of the damage is cosmetic, airbags, and headliner.. no way there is that much damage right?

You really can not tell by the pics. There is way too much involved with determining repair costs. You could have tweaked the front frame rails and cant tell, but appraiser/body shop will catch it and that alone can drive your costs way past what is needed. These parts add up quick, let them tell you dont drive yourself crazy. GL Buddy.

Difficult to tell from the photo but I’m still leaning towards the car being totaled as there is more than likely damage beyond what you see in the picture. TBH, you’re better off having it totaled if the damage is relatively extensive.
