To DRL or Not?

Hi All,

Just a random question and wanted to see what everyone else is doing. Now that it's summer and brighter do you guys run your DRL/Halos during the day?

When I had my B8S4, I turned them off during summer cause it looked better.

Being this is my first Bimmer M5; even other models with the LED Halos have always turned my head even though it wasn't a //M.

I have mine turned on throughout the day. I like the look of them.

You turn them off because they look better?

How do you know what the front of your car looks like while you are driving it? Sounds like you turn them off because you think other people will think they look better. ?

Just leave them on.

I leave my front and rear DRL on all year. This way I never have to think about it if it gets cloudy out, or a rainstorm hits.

LoL. I know what the car looks like when the car is parked and the DRL's are off. Just curios to see what other members are doing with their DRL's during summer.

Some may feel with them off it looks better or perhaps even more aggressive.

DRLs

Mine are always on. It's safer for one thing but I also like the way it looks.

With the eyebrows it looks angry and like it has a "get the hell out of my way or I'm going to eat you" look to it.

Not my car but a shows the DRLs:

Can't get it to show the image.

it is the law here to have DRL, so there's that. I don't need the unwanted attention from the 5-0.
