That is the build I gave my CA, from bmwconfig. It let me select those options as stand alone. Since I don't have a production # or delivery date yet I could have messed up and might be receiving an email from my CA telling me these are not available as stand alone options. In which case SAT I can add at the dealer (all F10 M5s are sat prepped) and I would miss out on Comfort access which would be a bummer. I have grown to love it on my M3 and can't count the number of times it saved me from locking my keys in the trunk!

There are simply too many options bundled in the exec package that I don't want or need. It is unfortunate that BMW is moving in this direction.

I will report back as soon as I hear yay or nay.

Just a heads-up, your CA will be calling. My CA looked into this for me and they are not available stand-alone. For some reason they appeared as if they were no cost options.

However, if you get BMW Apps and the smartphone cradle, you can access XM/Serius through your phone from the web (as well as Pandora and other online music sources).

That is unfortunate! Even the 550i allows CA and SAT as stand alone options. I don't understand it. Oh well.

Have you added your date to the list?
I am picking mine up on the 21 to take "advantage" of Octoberfest as well.

Not yet since I haven't received official word. I requested 9/24 as first choice.

I did the same thing. It's all a ploy to get you to buy things you don't really want. Then they get you to have to pay for them again when they break. :

It's a creative way to advertise a lower base price, yet increase the core features of the car. BMW knows most M5 buyers will spring for the Exec Package given all the stuff they've thrown into it.

Also, it helps the dealer when they need to spec cars for inventory. They just order the Exec Package and get most of the options most people want.

You will get some info from Doug about ED. One thing to consider is if you plan to drive your M5 after a certain date you must use winter tires. It's all explained in the info. That's what he means by winter tire rental.
