a few pics from a shoot of my IB M5, (after IND exterior mods)

a couple i just finished from a little shoot i did yesterday. the IND mods are subtle(corner reflectors, side gills, and kidney grilles, all in imperial blue.

id be interested to get some comments. im not a professional just a hobbyist. so i may have went a little overboard on some of the processing.

pics were taken with a Nikon D600, and Nikkor 17-35mm 2.8 lens.

Very nice...I have no clue about photography but whatever you did with the camera, natural lighting, and color of the car made the front air dam pop in such a awesome way. Beautiful....enjoy

Looks good. I'd lay off the filters in Lightroom though. Too dark. I'd instead try lightening some of the shadows and adjusting some of the highlights. White balance would also help. Let the natural lines and colors come through more.

Agree. The beautiful color of the Imperial Blue has been totally lost in these photos.

Thanks for the compliments( for those of you that liked the pics:-)) but yeah, I know I May have over done it on the HDR, and vignette filters a bit. Lol.

And I purposely changed the imperial blue to have a more greenish hue in some of the pics - it seemed to have a bit more drama...?

But in the 4th pic I think I managed to show the true imperial blue, no?

I could always go back and 're edit and tone it down a little, as its all non destructive editing.

Plus this is my first shoot ever. Of anything. So still learning!!!

:-)

The photos are nice. I just got the impression maybe you're having a regret about your color choice. I personally love Imperial Blue! It's my second favorite M5 color. You should show it off!

nope, no regrets. it wasn't my first choice (black was) but i like it a lot cause it looks pretty much black at night, but has a nice blue luster when you get up close.

That blue luster is quite special. Interestingly your photos make the car look Singapore Grey which has a slight green hue.
