Any ordering gotchas? Ordering a '14.

Gents:
I've appreciated lurking and making comments on your awesome cars for about the past year now.

I am planning to order an ED this week, and think Ive done enough homework, having looked at every possible color combo I could in person. Are there any gotchas you all might want to pass along? What is that one thing you wish you would have done differently etc.

Thanks in advance...

Only advice is that if you plan any BMW Individual add-ons beyond what is in the standard price book you should make sure they actually end up on the order sheet and are confirmed by BMW NA .
In particular if you order a BMW Individual leather color you definitely want to also order the leather dash and full leather options (need to be requested via BMW NA sales desk)

Only because you brought it up (don't want to jack the thread)... how much extra time should one expect to be added to production time if they select the full leather option (on colors that aren't normally)?

If it's "only" adding a leather dash and full leather it shouldn't impact your production time at all as you'll still submit your PO well in advance.
If you'd decide to go down a full BMW Individual road (different leather color and contrast stitching etc) it could easily be weeks.

I wish I got an individual interior color. Black is so boring.

When ordering your 2014 M5, did they give you lease rates?

I was also gonna get a black interior but then decided to go for the Orange. Its an exotic color for an exotic car I figured. Best decision.

2010 BMW M3 E92  [10.00]
I don't think I'd do ED on an individual car again. The wait was so long (7 months for me) I won't do it again.
