so i called one of the best wrapping shops back home (a lot of people from abroad send their cars to this specific shop) and asked them which material they use for frost/frozen look.

they told me they use HEXIS laminate vinyl
code for matte laminate is V750M, material is quite hard to work with, but 100 times cheaper than matte clear bra
i paid 120 gbp for 25m roll with 1370mm width, which is more than enough for m5 size car to do every single panel in 1 piece
maybe i should finally make a post about my wrapping experience!

ps: if you decide to go for any other colour than transparent matte go with 3M, much better material to work with and much better quality outcome and lasts longer! i used hexes first to dechrome all bits and pieces and i didn't like it at all, so i re-wrapped everything in 3M
Good to know - the Wrangler will be dark gray, so I want to do a transparent film like you, matte gray is what im going for. I emailed my tint/clear bra guy, I have a feeling he will quote me using Suntek or XPel Ultimate matte bra, which is what he offers. We'll see.

What do you mean in terms of the quality of the outcome? Are you worried the Hexis will peel, etc?

thx

he will quote you crazy price to cover whole car in xpel or suntek

it gets scratched easier, when you washing your car, its not as thick, i just didn't like how material felt on the car and there are top 3 wrap manufactures

3M
Hexis
Arlon http://www.ultimatepremiumplus.com/gallery

hexes considered to be the least durable and poorest quality, but the laminate (transparent matte) i used was quite thick and i can't complain, except that its not as easy to put on a car, as the others

if you need any more info you can pm me anytime

happy to help

i spent a a good amount of time doing my research and then wrapping my car myself, so i have gd knowledge in that sphere now

also thinking about the CF Agency Power rear diffuser but the cost to ship seems insane.

Neil.

Looks good bro. Those carbon mirror covers will look also. You already know Satin Blk will look. Have you thought about a two tone. matt blk/satin lip? Pert can help you out with this though.
