F10 m5 fuel

My brother took out my car yesterday and filled it up with 87 should I drain it or let it rock?

Best if you can pump as much as you can out. If you can't do that put octane booster in before driving it. (NOTE: 30 point octane boost will bring 87 to 90). Also stay out of boost until you can refill, and do it often (like even if you have a quarter tank so you can dilute out the bad gas). Don't drive on 87.

I agree with v3n0m. This happened in my E39 M5 when a friend borrowed it. My check engine light came on the next day. That's when I found out.

Dilute by keeping the tank full and adding 91 to it. I doubt you will damage anything. But not the kind of fuel you want in your performance car.

Don't let him fill up again, take cash.

Good luck.

Just curious, was it a mistake or did he do that intentionally? I'm sure he realized it is a performance car.

There's no reason to drain. Go on a couple long drives
