Color Combos - 2014 M5

Need some opinions on what color combos would be best for my upcoming dream car. My 550 is currently Alpine White on Black Leather. I love the white but don't want the same color. It would just look like I am driving the same car to the average person.

So I'm thinking about the Monte Carlo Blue and Silverstone because both are exclusive to the M cars. I would also like a darker interior as I would think the Silverstone or Platinum would show any small imperfections from wear and tear.

MC Blue on Black Extended with Aluminum Trim
MC Blue on Graphite Extended with Aluminum Trim

Silverstone II on Black Extended with Aluminum Trim
Silverstone II on Sakhir Extended with Aluminum Trim

Which would you choose? Anybody have pics of the Graphite interior?

MC Blue on Black Extended with Aluminum Trim Would be my choice. Although Silverstone II on Black Extended with Aluminum Trim would be nice as well. I really like the Silverstone, but don't know if I would want to own a car in that color.

I have MCB w/ full silverstone interior. At first, I was very worry about keeping the interior nice and clean, but it really isn't as difficult as I thought. I wipe down the leather surface once every 2 or 3 weeks and it still looks fairly brand new to me after now almost 15000km on the clock. This combo like you said is quite exclusive to the M car and I am certainly happy with the decision.

Go MCB with Full Graphite and Aluminum trim. That will look very good. I am assuming you are not considering light leathers from the ones you mentioned.

MCB with Silverstone full leather and aluminum

I still wish I had opted for this combo (was my original order spec). It's stunning!

I've had 2 M5s with silverstone interior, and it's not hard to take care of. Black interiors are so boring (IMHO). I just make the kid take his shoes off before climbing all over the back seat

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like MCB it is but still iffy on the interior. Is the Silverstone more grey than white? Anybody have a pic that they can share?

There are a few threads and pictures on this forum.
Probably want to look at a number of pictures to see the difference in light etc

Having said all of this I wonder if considering another color is an option, I could
see Amaro Brown being a great combo with MCB . It's not a dark brown , looks very
classy and provide a nice contrast.

Silverstone is definitely more gray, which is why I went Full Platinum.

Further the grayness of Silverstone gets exaggerated when you tint the windows. It ends up looking like Everest Gray under a tint.

Without a tint, Full Silverstone looks great, especially with aluminum trim.

Perhaps the official color threads (for each color) would help:

I think I get the look you're going for. But I think you would need a deeper/darker blue to pull that off. Maybe with Imperial Blue?

No. The Individual Extended leather does not include leather dash or upper door trim. You can get Full Individual leather for an additional $1825 above the price of Individual Extended. i.e. $5000 for Extended Individual, $6825 for Full Individual.

Wow, that is pretty pricey. Thinking I might just go with Black extended on aluminum trim. Can't wait for the MCB M5!

Piano Black interior is awesome, IMHO all the talk about small scratches is over rated. I have had it in my M3 for a while with not issues.

When I spec the car on BMWusa.com the individual leather says its extended. I don't want the dash in the individual color. Black leather is fine. The $5k does not include this?

the dash only wraps in leather when you go full leather option and that applies to both standard leather choices or individual selections. I have seen full individual leather interior with black leather dash, now, I don't know if that's they way they put them on or if it is an option to do so. You might want to check that with who ever you are ordering the car from.

You may want to consider Black Full Leather $3500 and well worth it for full leather. Although i guess the plastic is black too so you don't get as much benefit as with Sakhir or Silverstone.

Silverstone Full Leather looks very good. You should have a look at that and compare to Black.
