Dreaded "Increased Battery Discharge" F10 M5

Are there any owners of new F10 M5's that are getting an Increased Battery Discharge warning? Every time I start the car I get this warning and a "Battery Discharged while stopped: electrical devices were temporarily switched off."

This message comes up EVERY time I start the car. I have researched this on other forums and tried all the no-brainer stuff. Long ride, unplugging all the extra attachments, trickle charger over night.....

My dealership is embarrassed and wants me to bring it in but I don't want to take in a brand new car for them to start working on. I also don't want to have it die on the side of the road.

Any thought? Anyone else experiencing this?

It has been an issue for the F10 since Day 1, for some, it's a simple software update but for others, entire battery replacement. Lucky for me, I did not have any issue at all.

If you don't bring it in for service, there may be other error messages which could be originate from the battery issue. I have seen people mentioned about 'malfunction engine', 'transimmision malfunction', etc which may be directly related to battery issue.

No have not experienced this. I did on my old 335 which because I was only driving short distances apparently did not have enough time to adequately charge the battery. I drove my F10 535 and drive my M5 exactly the same routes and have not had any issues with battery discharge.

Simple issue but the service fits will not get there easily. We had the same issue with my wife's X6. the issue is the electric package is such a draw that if the battery is not perfect you have a issue. Ask for a new battery period. Was one of your cars one that sat on the dock for a month? If so that might he a issue. Best would be a higher amp battery.

Thanks for the responses. The car only sat in california for a few days waiting for release to Utah. I charged the battery all night last night, drove for 90 minutes straight today and still get the message. I will start with a battery when they install my Akrapovic exhaust.

I had that issue on my M6, ended up replacing the battery and eventually the alternator when the problem didn't go away. I'd take it in and have it checked for sure. Its a new car and shouldn't have issues, but shit happens and every now and again a part fails.
