Your buying methods are definitely smarter financially man. I didn't actually do too bad. If you consider that with the trade it also saves me $5K+ in taxes I am at less than a $12K loss. Take headlights into that equation if I were to do the upgrade and I am getting a LOT for the additional $2K. Also, very shortly my car will drop even more in value as the LCI hit the street. Simple supply and demand. People will opt for the newer pkg all day long if the prices are close so naturally the 2013 will have to drop drastically in order to move them. Yes...I know this is not really logical math but bear with me...helps me sleep better at night-lol! |

I must do this , but no one who knows me believes me. I have done some great deals but this is an expensive buy and I think my last NEW car, so heres hoping to keep for two years and then buy a great car a few months old there after.

Well at least we know we won't see any Pre-LCI F10 528i owners with F10 M5 Bumpers, Quad Tip Exhausts, and slammed to the ground, with the new LCI LED Head Lights and stuff. Or will we??!?!?!

A few of them seem to be very motivated to have the M5 look and I am pretty sure you will see chinese knock offs of LCI headlights on Ebay.

There is this light blue "M5" here, even I, knowing all the delicacies, couldn't distinguish it from the real deal. It was until he decided to race my friend's CLS63 that I realized that it was a 5 series (Stage 4?)
Morale of the story - some people already do spend a lot of money to make 5 series look like M5, to intimidate or for looks, I don't know but I do think that at least some of those people will also buy the expensive LCI LED retrofits for their "M5"s. |

gotcha my buddy gave me the heads up on F10 550i stage 4. Wasn't aware some owners say that stage 4 is like driving an M5

After a few miles on suburban roads and then highway driving his tune changed-lol! The car was very impressive. Lots of HP but I would stick to his tail and pull past him going into 3rd. Then the suspension-not even close. My buddy was commenting on how soft it was and how he would have never been able to switch lanes so smoothly and quickly as I was. I can easily presume that if we came out of some hard corners the M differential would have allowed me to leave him standing still. Again..that car was ridiculously impressive with its power however. It is not however, an M car. Lots of technology missing. Those who say "it is just like driving an M car" are the same ones who don't own an M car.

Well, it's a done deal. If I go through with the 2014 LCI, I am getting the competition package. Furthermore, I think I will go with the new competition package wheels. I just see too many upsides....
