I assume I will progress to the next level, The power is addicting. Love it.

Your good to go ... Can't beat that price. You need the stage 1 anyways to upgrade to the JB4/BCM so your already one step closer. When you are ready you can purchase the upgrade kit.

Good job on those parts. Hell of a deal

Meth is in the plans soon to come. I'm a little leary on the upgrades since I just had the engine replaced a couple weeks ago. Motor blew.. bmw replaced it.. the repairs cost $50,000+ so..

As you can imagine I'm a little hesitant to alter after $50k engine being put in lolol
That's ridiculous.. For 50k you could have bought a used m5.. And then swapped motors and then sold everything else off the donor car... Lol

You are looking at $600 for just the upgrade kit and if you want Bluetooth to connect its another $140 I think.

Whats the reason you want to go meth? It has several benefits. I personally went without it, I am pushing close to 700w on 93 with no issues. I am mostly afraid of the risks with meth more than anything.

Meth for the obvious reasons.. More power. A simple set up would be a great addition to the car.

BMW covered the cost via new car warranty.

I asked at the end what the cost of the repair was.. She told me the engine cost 40k+ and the labor was about 5k or 6k.
If I had to make the repair out of pocket I would def not pay 50k for the job lol.
It's $28k for a new M5 motor.. I have this on good authority.

No. Mine is from an invoice for an F10 M5 that had its motor replaced with a brand new motor from BMW Germany under BMW warranty in April so I guess the mark up you were quoted must have been a quote if you bought an engine from BMW outright. Labour was around $6k on top.

I wonder if you got a used or reman engine.. Maybe that's why it was only $28k

All you need to know is the motor was new on that F10 M5. Maybe your SA quoted you including labor or maybe they were just trying to make you feel better that you had a blown engine.

I saw that M5s new motor when it arrived shipped from Germany to my BMW dealership.

Brand new motor.

To add.. I know that the BMW tech used existing turbos etc from the old engine on the new one.. Maybe that explains the difference in price..

You're right that's the most important thing.
Any idea what blew the old motor?
