New 90mm Carbon Fibre Tips

Got them on at last. What a difference from stock chrome ones.

High gloss carbon fibre outer core and stainless steel cores.

So much for a push on fit though, took a good bit of adjustment and welding to get them set right, but worth it.

I had them on my Akra/BMW Performance exhaust. I had no idea you could make them fit on the stock.

Crazy! they made M-performance tips upgrade for non-M exhausts.
Looks amazing.

can they be had without the carbon, to look like the actual M performance exhaust that comes without carbon, just polished tips?

A few more pics as requested.

One thing to note though, this is not a simple push on as advertised. The exhaust has to be altered slightly. It cost me £70 to have them fitted at my local exhaust specialist. Not a big deal for the look.

Cheers

That price is super cheap. I have the real M-Performance tips which look identical but are 100mm and those cost $1200 a set.

The pipes are not all the same size on the exhaust, the 2 outers are slightly larger than the inners. Existing exhaust has to be cut back to where it flares (you can see this if you look under the car) A new section of stainless is added flared to match the new tips. Its not difficult, took my guy and hour with a coffee and a lot of chat in-between lol

Can I say I'm not associated with the bay seller in any way, and the quality is simply stunning the carbon is flawless on mine.

Exactly lol.

Can I say that the genuine 100mm tips would not fit anyway unless you do major exhaust work. The tips if placed on the standard exhaust would touch due to the angles of the pipes from the muffler.

Yeah the M Performance tips aren't intended for the standard exhaust but for the M Performance exhaust.

do you have a picture of what was modified by chance on stock exhaust?

i take it you changed the angle entirely of the factory pipes to which factory tips screw onto?

definitely way cheaper that going with real MPE.. i was thinking of getting 335 tips which measure slightly bigger on exterior diamter 92mm but probably a bit too much.. not to mention the cost..

btw how are these ebay ones now holding up against heat etc? is gloss finish showing wear?

I have already discussed the alterations, no the angle is not changed and yes they are holding up well, not a mark on them after they have been cleaned lol

I got these for my 5 series.

but notice the inner is different. your M5 ones have perforations on the inner, mine have no holes.
