Surprisingly I haven't seen any new M5's or M6's in SD recentely. Then again, I've been off the roads quite a bit. That'll change in a couple weeks.

Not Azurite but you're close (bad picture)... Rob///M5 got it right, it is Citrin Black.

I'm assuming the key is to get to be a higher priority.... That seems to be the ticket. I saw one with a work order started and it had a dealer delivery date of 11/3

Mine has no work order as of yet. Need a work order or Brad goes crazy!!!!
Brad looks like you are about 90 from last of the M5's requiring the oil pump replacement. If they are indeed doing them in order of VIN, you would be toward the very end. Can you tell me how do I get in touch the the VDC rep?

Just called BMW at 1-800-525-7417.

They were unable to provide any useful info about whats up with my car at VPC regarding the pump. All he could say was they are working as 'quickly as possible' to fix the cars.

I asked my salesman for constant updates, he has been asking his product specialist at the dealer (administrative assistant to sales manager)

She emailed someone with @bmwnaext.com in their email address who wrote that email back

He forwarded the email chain to me where I can now see all the back and forth. That was her most recent, detailed response

My salesman and I may try and title the car (handle the purchase) so they move faster. We are looking for ways to add urgency to create a higher priority.

We did poke around the computer and found the area/tab were it shows work order started should appear when I get 'started'... My dealer delivery date is still 10/2 (passed) but the one that had work order started delivery to dealer is 11/3... This makes me think when I get the work order I will then get a new delivery date

Sucks I am close to the end, I'm getting very annoyed but I understand vin priority. My problem is that I would have had my car if I didn't change the color at 112 status. This color better be worth the 5k and the hassle... Damn well driving an old beat up ford 150 coming off a Maserati vert GT dammit and my love for the ///M

Also, liked the post nytrus112 shared with us a couple of replies back (how things progressed and initial impressions of the car).

Finally picked up mine Saturday so Im glad that I can include myself among you happy campers - I probably had it easier than some but what an ordeal for everyone.

Looking back
1. Arrived on the Toronto 9/26 at NJ VPC
2. Either no news, despite the repeated calls, or conflicting information from BMW NA
3. Call from BMW NA on 10/9 letting me know the car will fixed at the VPC
4. Call from dealer on 10/10 saying the car was released to carrier
5. Call from dealer on 10/11 saying car arrived paid a visit to car
6. Picked up this past Saturday

Posting quick picture. Anyway, its great to start hearing the all the positives for a changeits been a difficult last few weeks for all.
That's beautiful dude. Absolutely beautiful. Congrats on the M6. Sigh. That car is a simple work of art. Every night I scour youtube looking for drag videos of this new M6 doing damage. I suspect it is gonna raise serious havoc. Wish I had the money to own both.

Thanks very much and as far as owning both - I am with you... I would absolutely love to have my own new Imperial Blue M5 parked right next each other (wish they had a buy one / get one free thing for us).
