Eisenmann installation
How long does it take to install E-Sport, just the rear section swapping it out with stock? Will get it done at a shop/dealership.

If it takes less than an hour, might also get the interior led swap done. Please advise.

They will need to cut your stock exhaust and clamp your Eisemman. May take 2 hours just to make sure they cut properly and adjust accordingly so it doesn't stick out too far.

Thanks so much. Down the road, if I need to put the stock mufflers back on, with the pipes cut, do they have to be welded back on?

Thanks. Also, it seems like with the pipes cut, I could ask the tech to keep the new tail pipes from sticking out too much. Don't want it to appear too in your face and cheap.

the tolerance of the new install would be just an inch or so due to the position of the factory hanger (which the Eisenmann will need to use this hanger). If your exhaust guy is good in measuring where to cut, then the Eisenmann should be just a bit sticking out (1/2 inch) of the rear diffuser. Just tell your exhaust guy to let you see the final position before setting it in place.

btw, you don't have to get it done at the dealership. They would probably want $250 - $300 for the install. A good exhaust shop will probably charge $150 range (max).

Yeah, you are right. And if it is a 2hr job, will be double that amount. BMW service rates here are about $250/hr. Will it really take 2 hours to cut the pipes and clamp on the new rear section? Besides, the only reputable shop I know of in Bay area is GT Auto Concepts

Mine took about 2 1/4 hrs. So the other blogger is right on the button in regards to the install job. I would say 3/4 hr is used towards measuring & lining up the Eisenmann exhaust to the correct cut.
