lol are you in denial or something? The E60 550i was even in the low 5s 0-60. I have never seen a 0-60 time (from BMW or otherwise) of above 5 seconds for the E60....

Magazines have an extremely poor track record on specs before official announcements. Remember when MotorTrend claimed a few months back that the M5 would only have an automatic because the DCT could not handle the torque? Totally wrong of course - DCT is clearly seen in the concept and prototype cars.

The F10 550xi does 0 - 100 kph in 4.8 seconds so having the F10 M5 do it in 4.4 is not that impressive. I realize traction becomes the limiting factor but this seems too slow.

And 552 HP really seems wrong. The X5M and X6m already make 555 SAE horsepower (yes that's 3 hp more than the claimed power in the new M5) while the photos of the engine in the F10 M5 shows much larger turbos and inter-coolers. So, I call B.S. on the HP figure claimed by Autozeitung.

However, I'm glad to see that the black wheels are gone (or at least an option).
My thoughts exactly. I'll believe it, when BMW releases an official press release.

I think the E60 M5 was 4.7 rated by BMW not 5.7, just a typo.

Soon they'll be putting the same 2.0l engine in every model so you pay twice the price for software and a cosmetic kit, and few upgraded parts. Takes a lot of the difference/fun out of 'M'..

that was def a typo on the 0-60 of 5.7 seconds for the E60 and yes bmw always is conservative with their times so when they say 4.4 for the f10 i will not be surprised one bit when it goes under 4 flat. i agree with others about waiting to hear from bmw themselves...i thought all the other rumors and posts said it would have more than the x5/6m

the blue calipers are cool. but the performance figures don't impress me. if the 0-60 time was below 4s and the ring time would be in the low 7:50's then maybe...

That's correct. E60 M5 did 0-100kmh in 4.7 seconds.

Fixed in first post.
