hpfp undertarget

Is it normal for hpfp to occasionally undertarget by up to 500psi and instantly recovers(within couple hundred rpm) when initially stepping on the accelerator(part throttle) during casual driving? Thanks in advance!

500psi is fine as long as it recovers... its mechanical so the target is set once you WOT, but RPMs have to build up.
