Mine came out relatively easily with the right amount of force.

One issue I ran into is I have a pre lci 2013 with nv. They changed the nv module in the lci and I could not use the new lci with nv even with slight modifications. Was bummed but Nate and team were great and took it back.

Hi, could you explain about the NV fitment issues?

I have a 2013 pre-LCI M5 with NV, and have ordered the LCI grill from iND.

guys
nate's instructions make this easy
just pull...i was a little nervous after reading some of the posts, but really no problems
i did the side grills (with the little bondo instruments), black m5 emblem, front grills, and the rkp spoiler in about thirty minutes
nate even gives you a little discount

Yes. I just did it. It was very easy and made a huge difference.

Just grab one at a time with two hands and yank that fucker out. Took me all of 45 seconds to remove and replace. That included wiping it down from finger prints too. lol.

Hi Nate,

Is it same as 2014 LCI? Just pull hard from outside will come out? No need to remove the rubber strips and hex screws from the top first?

I have just ordered a set of LCI grills, I already have the factory LCI grills installed.

Are there any extra steps to remove the newer style grills?

Done the side markers install in 10 minutes, BUT I cannot get the grills out!

I have pulled on them to the point where I can see the bumper bending, not a nice feeling.

Any suggestions?

This is how I did on mine but if I do it again I could just pull the grille out (wear thick mechanic glove) without remove any screws from the top.

Cheers, as you were writing your post I went back out for a second attempt this time using a bit more force, POP grill came out in one piece no damage same for the other side. Looks so much better!

Wish there was pictures for the Nightvision replacement. I pulled mine and broke the tab that was holding the NV bracket. Luckily I was replacing with a set from IND. I have a 2015 LCI build.

There is a mount screw for NV bracket to remove before yanking the grill out.

Can you please explain which screw this is and how to access it? I ran into this problem today.

You want to open your hood and remove the trim that lines the front bumper. There is a plastic facade that covers the area you need to get to.

My finger points to the hole you need to access, remove this screw nut and you can then yank the night vision grill out.
