New Toy: 458 Italia 2013, vbox 0-1000meters

Hi,
Last week I bought 458 Italia.

Today I made some vbox test, car is full stock, temperature was 23*C, 1/2 tank of shell vpower racing 100.

Car is very different than M6, very poor quality comparing to M6 Individual, but if your realise that You are paying for exotics and emotions not for quality, everything becomes AWESOME

Awesome car! I'm with RPiM5 458 > 488 any day. The tail lights on the 488 are the only redeeming quality. NA Ferrari's are just glorious!

I would like to see the comparison between M6 and 458... something like 100-200 km/h or so

I had them both and I think it would be close in a rolling race....

but the 458 with its weight advantage should pull up top

I do feel that my M6 was the easier car to drive from a roll though.... mash and go in D-3 with MDM on. That is, for a non premeditated race of course.

The only real races that count to me are the ones that are at the same time as measured results that are done on separate days yield far too many variants that can change times.

Too bad my good friend who has a 458 Speciale doesn't drive fast, would love to do a roll race with him in my M5.

Yea it should be very close.
however direct comparation is needed - vbox numbers depends on many factors like wind, temperature, humidity etc. So maybe one day I'll compare both cars side by side.

458 has much better traction, I think in colder temperatures low 6.xs 100-200 are possibe and with race start low 3.xs 0-100

Exactly as I stated above--- thus the Gustav video I posted for real world comparos where the 458 pulled away at higher speeds. I never raced my two cars (2013 M6 and 2014 458) but agree with what you said about traction and the results.

Vic, but Gustav's videos sometimes are not very accurate...
This is another comparison from him and M6 pulls much harder at higher speed...
However this is a tuned M6 and not the stock but I believe the competition M6 is much faster than stock M6...

come on ... at least they are the two cars at the same time. And you throw down a tuned car video LOL. Tuned M6's kills Comp cars especially a Manhart stage 4. Apples vs Oranges. Edit (I dont even call that a kill for the M6 LOL)

Like I said from ownership and the OP too- the 458 is the faster car is most situations.

I sold my M6
Funny thing is that M6 has been sold to my friend which ~2years ago raced me with his 458 italia. So now I have 458 and he has M6 Competition

I've never done direct comparation so far between 458 and M6 BUT according to vbox M6 should be faster in 200+km/h speeds.

Anyway, I'm going to miss that car, it was perfect daily car (the only better car I can imagine is Gran Coupe - wish that Merc S class had Gran Coupe version - I love the interior)

It was good set to have both of the cars - 458 for city crusing and M6 for luxury trips. But now i'm saving money for house and i need a lot of $$$ - so "car dreams" must wait a bit... (well, Ferrari will help with waiting) :P
