Must be a PA thing. I only run across C/O in MD, and VA. I can still pick up I/O if they target a car in front of me, granted I'm not the only car on the road.

Instant on has been around some time. That's where the extreme range on some of these detectors defeats it (easily in most cases). You hear little Ka blips that's a good sign you'll be checked soon.

In most cases the detector sees these Ka blips WAY before they can get a read.

I think the noise about Escort on RDFORUM is a lot to do with the fact that the forum is in the pocket of BRD and Net Radar.

Take Kasher as an example. He is the head guy on that forum, and if you read his posts about the CI360 he says it is the best detector he has ever had. His praise for it very strong detection and filtering. This thread has very strong reviews from trusted members of RDF:

http://escortradarforum.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=17237

On the other hand, people at RDF seem to brush aside huge issues with NetRadar.

The level of falsing is insane. And I also have issues of it alerting K-band when K band is switched off.

The model of using a phone for filtering and alerts also creates risk. What if the phone crashes or freezes. This is known to happen occasionally on Android devices. I believe the brief K alerts I am getting with KA switched off may also be caused by CPU prioritization on the phone not being optimal for filtering. This sort of thing can be solved with a dedicated CPU and display but NetRadar doesn't have it.

The product is in my opinion completely junk. And I say this as probably the most experienced end user of high end radar and laser products on M5Post.

Also you should not confuse the fact that ALP is excellent with the fact that net Radar can't hold a candle to the CI360 in the radar field. These facts are unrelated. Yes the escort isn't as good at laser, but there is no reason you can't run an ALP with a CI360.
