Opinions on Dinan upgraded M5

Hi guys,

So I've been looking for a new m5 for a few weeks now and deciding between used and new. I've come across this nice car at the dealer and am looking for suggestions on price. Obviously, they had quoted me much higher to start. Can anyone help suggest a fair price to counter with?

http://www.bmwofsterling.com/auto/ne...66-va/3086799/

It has 708 hp / 665 lbs torque.

- Dinan Stage 2
-Dinan CF Intake
- Dinan adj. suspension
-Dinan sway bars
- Full Interior CF Kit
- M performance wheel

A few other minor goodies as well. Thanks to all those who are reading in advance.

It's a 2015 - base should be about 12-15% off MSRP. Car has white with Sakhir full interior - nothing crazy. With that, comp, drivers assist, and exec package you are 19k above 93.6 base. ~113? I would haircut this by 12-15%. No idea on dealer markups on Dinan but that have to be pretty high. So let's say 20% off MSRP for that. I get ~$117k. Based on your negotiating strategy craft your bid and response! And good luck.

Thank you for your response. The car itself was ~$115k, i believe the leather was full not extended. The "extra" dinan options was aprox $25k. I'm not sure how they came up with the figure of that number. They quoted me ~$121k for the car. Does it seem like a good deal? Thank you again.

So after more research, it looks like the car has the Dinan signature package which includes the stage2, intake, exhaust, suspension, and some pedals. That's ~$10.5k alone. I'm not sure about the "swap bars" they've listed, but I'll assume thats the $999 anti roll bar set. Adding in ~$3k for the cf interior set and the m performance steering wheel, puts me just short of 15k plus install. Putting me around 104k~ for the car itself. That's about a 9% discount. Looks like I'll have a little more wiggle room to negotiate.

I'm not sure if you know anything of the bmw rates, but the website states 2.79% up to 72 months. Dealer is quoting me 3.99 since it's over 100k. Seems bogus to me as well. Thank you.

I would lease it if they can add the Dinan stuff to the residual. The Dinan mods will not be worth much in a few years

Yea seems bogus if they are trying to mess on financing program with you. Go on BMW USA's website and checkout the rate. I thought 2.99% was the standard 72 month rate (or at least it was when I was deciding to buy vs lease earlier this year).

But you are probably better off leasing this than buying. It will drop like a rock when G series hits and will be hard to sell this given the other F10's hitting the market from wanting to upgrade to a G. Just my 2 cents.

Pass, unless you get a full BMW warranty in writing to cover the entire car and a heck of a lease deal.

I had my eye on this exact car for months before they put the Dinan mods on it. Purchased my current M5 from them and was looking to buy that one. They are a good BMW dealership from my experience and my sales advisor there is top notch. Did you end up purchasing it?

Buy a 6-12 month old one for 85K, spend $2000 and get 700whp (that's 850 crank) and invest the $30-$40K saved towards retirement.
