Delayed shifts
I have noticed that sometimes when I shift gears the number changes on the dash, but then it takes a moment for the shift to actually happen. I am in S with 3 lines, and I have appx 2k miles on the car. Any ideas? Also, shifts from 1st to second at 7k in the same settings do not spin the tires at all. Maybe I am just used to the violent(but amazing) E60 shifts I used to have, but I read all the time that the wheels spin on 1st to 2nd, and even 2nd to 3rd sometimes.
Any and all help is appreciated. |

Also make sure you move from efficient to either sports or sports plus

I noticed something similar as well. Usually happens at low RPM's.. below around 3200.
It doesn't happen all the time. Randomly..

If you fully disable traction control, and you're in S3, with throttle set at sport plus, the shift should be instantaneous and you should feel the rear end come loose at the high rpm full throttle 1-2 shift. I'm guessing its a software issue.
And you're right, it won't feel like the E60 shift, it will be much smoother/softer. But the shift should still be instantaneous. |
