Sport display (torque/power)?
How can the most basic 3 series from 2 years ago have this and not the latest M5/M6? Even the new M3 has it. Does anyone know if it can be coded?

I remember someone was able to code the screen on, but couldn't get it to work.

Since the 560 HP is a big lie for a 600+ HP car, maybe they don't want to indicate it on screen then people will doubt about the other gauge measurements

Yup, I had an '14 X5 from Avis last month and noticed the display. Thought it was pretty useless in the X5, but would have liked it in the M5. Also, the X5 showed the actual tire pressures on all 4 corners. That would be really nice to have as a standard feature (without needing coding).

The other problem is, and this is why it is probably a good thing I couldn't get it to work, is that I would be tempted to see how high I could get each needle, and that is not a good time not to be keeping an eye on the road ! |

BMW does mid model year changes like this a lot. In january they also improved the navigation software silently as well as removing manual transmission from a lot of standard 5 series cars in march. |

Mine is 11/13 built 14 model. Maybe it's from actual 2014 built models with newer iDrive software... =(

I have a November built 2014. You mean to tell me that BMW upgraded software to include actual tire pressures and temps! Going to call my Service Advisor and see when I can get the update.

The update was released in March 2014. The tricky part is to get them to perform the update at no cost.

Not sure why you guys in the States have such "limited" features on cars.
