And don't forget this is probably base pricing. A fully loaded one in the US will prob come in around 105k-120k give or take. All speculation of course.

Based on this if the M5 is really 73,040 in the UK, it could be as low as $80,000 in the US, 8% would put it at $78,900! that would be amazing.

And why not, same engine as X5M but in a much smaller package, and in the UK its 7,000 less than the X5M.
the uk prices are in pounds, not dollars.

That has nothing to do with it. This is not comparing exchange rates, it's comparing percentages on models.

Most things are standard on M5s. It shouldn't be more than $5k-$10k more fully loaded, look at the X5M.

I think this is spot on. BMW can give the image that the MSRP is low by being < 90k and they charge an arm + leg for options to make up for it, also places it slightly more than the X5M which appears to be the trend with their SUV/car price strategy.

I have a feeling they will price it somewhere in between the X6M and the X5M at around $87,500.

It's going to increase a decent % in the US, which is bs especially considering the tt engine is cheaper than the e60 v10. It wouldve been more reasonable with a 20% power increase to 600hp, but its pretty disappointing the power is basically the same as the m SUVs, and not even close to what the engine is capable of. But hey, theyve been overcharging for vehicles their entire existence, ppl will keep paying, so I can't hate on em for being business savy.

You guys... In Europe this car will cost more than a 100 000 EUR (that's almost 150 000 USD) and that's just the base price. I still don't get it why are the poor, self-centered, proud (of overpaying for the same product) Europeans paying more for the same car than the rich Americans?
