Wheel Cleaning?
Curious to see what people use to wash / detail their ///M's wheels. I have the Comp. 601 wheels but I assume the cleaning process is the same for those and the 343s.
Also - Is there a tire cleaner/wax out there that leaves the tires in MATTE finish? I hate the shiny look, especially for frozen paint cars. Thanks! f.

Clean so often I only need soap/water and a speed master. A couple times a year I hit them with some actual off the shelf rim cleaner followed up with some Iron-X.
The speed master allows you to get behind the brake caliper to get all the way to the back of the barrel. A wheel Woolie won't, and you need to roll the car a foot or so, very annoying. |

I used Sonax Wheel Cleaner, does a great job getting dirt off and then I follow through with the usual soap and water.
For tire shine, I personally like Zaino as it leaves a nice clean look, not a lot of shine, not greasy, doesn't come off as driving. Little bit on a wooing goes a long way too. Lastly, lasts for a few days to a week. I've seen on here that Armor All Outlast Brake Dust Repellent really works and keeps the wheels clean. I haven't tried it yet but plan to.

I use sonax, spray it on, leave it for 2-3 mins as it turns red, start rinsing with a pressure washer.
if they are really dirty i'll hit them with a wheel brush. then i foam the car / wheels etc as usual. |
