old thread but for anyone w issues w the wheel , mine looked as if there was a razor blade taken to it at the 10 o clock position on 1 stitch , then with the use over the next day it just started unstitching provided your within the 4/50 they will replace any old looking, worn out, crappy, or even new wheel w a new one ! happened on my x5m aswell as my m5 in fact they even replaced my driver seat for the same issue , cust states stich's are coming loose |

Good to know! I have 300 miles left on my factory warranty (got extended warranty till 2020 for peace of mind though :thump Gonna hit up my SA right now about getting a new steering wheel! Thanks.
